Pandora was the first mortal woman. The myth “The Creation of the Titans and the Gods” mentions Pandora. Zeus gives Pandora the box as a gift. She is not supposed to open it, but she does anyways, this leads to her letting out evil and diseases to the world.
The story of Pandora’s box starts Zeus, Prometheus, and Epimetheus. Zeus rewarded Prometheus and Epimetheus for their loyalty and told them to create things. Epimetheus made the animals and gave each animal a special skill and some kind of protection. Prometheus took his time molding man, and was left without any form of protection since Epimetheus had already given all of them away. Prometheus wanted man to have protection so he asked Zeus if man could have fire. Zeus was mad and said
