In Patrick Henry’s “Speech in the Virginia Convention” he is telling the Virginia Colony to let them be free or they will fight back. First, I believe that because Henry is tired of being pushed around and wants to do something about it. Henry states “give me liberty or give me death.” Which means to fight back so they can be free. Second, I believe that because he is done with having no freedom and wants to finally take a stand against Great Britain. Henry states “have we shown ourselves so unwilling to be conciled that force must be called back to win our love.” What Henry means by that is they have to go to war and fight to get back their liberty and love that they deserve.
