If I lived in the 1770’s, I would go on the Midnight Ride, rather than help sign the Declaration of Independence. On the night of the Midnight Ride, Patriot Paul Revere flew through Boston on his horse, warning Patriots that the British were marching to Lexington and Concord. Towards the end of his ride, he was held at gunpoint and questioned by redcoat patrollers. He bravely told them what he did that night, and alerted them of the dangerous militia waiting for them if they entered Lexington. Revere’s ride was one of the most critical components of the United States’ victory, and to be part of that importance would have been amazing.
