On 01-27-17 at approximately 1802 hours, I was working uniformed patrol with Officer Petrella #7035 in unit #26. I was monitoring the radio and heard a suspicious incident call for service located at the above location. Dispatch advised that a male Hispanic tried to push his way into an office. Cox advised that she did not know the subject and was unaware if he was still inside of the building. Cox was crying and upset as we spoke with her.
Officer Petrella and I decided to search the building for the male subject. I found Parra hiding in the fetal position underneath a table inside of the break room. I instructed Parra to show me his hands, which he refused to do. Parra remained underneath the table and did comply with my instructions.
I again instructed Parra to show me his hands and to come out from underneath the table. Parra then complied with my orders and crawled out from underneath the table. Officer Petrella and I handcuffed Parra without further incident. The handcuffs were double locked. Officer Petrella and I escorted Parra outside of the building and placed him into the rear of our patrol unit.
Officer Petrella asked Parra for his name and date of birth. Parra gave Officer Petrella a name of Jose Alvarez with a DOB of 12-03-87. Officer Petrella conducted a records check on the above name and DOB that Parra provided him. Officer Petrella was unable to find a match for Parra with the above information
