My hypothesis in terms of the pH outcome was correct; as the pH balance increased, the overall rate of the peroxidase absorbance levels increased alongside it. It seemed like common sense to make this prediction since pH levels affect us every single day, so why wouldn’t they affect an enzyme reaction? We are surrounded by pH balances on a constant basis, everything we either eat or drink has one! If something has a pH balance less than 7, then it is considered acidic - some of these examples would include coffee, white bread, and chocolate. Meanwhile anything above pH 7 is considered alkaline - some of these would include apples, green tea, and carrots.
