During the calamity of mass genocide, commonly referred to as the Holocaust, Jews were compelled to uphold principles and persevere, in order to survive and witness liberation. During the Holocaust, all the Jews and prisoners possessed faith to sustain their survival. They were rationed a limited amount of food to sustain their daily labor, and if they were not strong enough, they were executed. During such a difficult and horrific time, victims of the camps were able to remain hopeful and alive in order to get through the camps and the harsh conditions.
