Life is what we make of it. We decide our own destiny as well as where we want to be and end up. We make goals, we have dreams and along the way we forget to live the present moment. It is easy to live life uncouciously that we do not stop and smell the roses. We get caught up in our daily routine without knowing it. Changing a few things, changed it for me.

There are days where my tasks consume my time and feel rushed throughout my day. From experience, I feel like I have to race to complete all my tasks. Scott & Davenport (2017) suggest slowing down to complete the tasks.
Another common situation is allowing my thoughts in the morning get the best of me. Thoughts such as “it is going to be a busy day” or “it is Monday, I am going to be swamped with work.” Thoughts can get the best of you

Scott and Barrie Davenport (2017) I put into practice some of their thoughts in living the present moment. Learning to control my thoughts and not allow negative thoughts to control me has been a great success. In the mornings, I wake up knowing I will have a great day ahead. Thoughts can make you or break you and also consume you. Now when I go to sleep, I have learned to write things down for the next day and then I won’t have to think of what tasks I have to remember to complete. Staying positive has motivated me to move forward with school and not worry about events that have not
