Oscar came home from his trip in an unusual mood. As I opened the door the first thing he said was "Hold off, I need to focus." He seemed to be alternating between anxious and happy. He explained to me he needed to wash the clothes he took on his trip, which seemed unnecessary, but doing laundry gives him something to do with his spare time. Unfortunately our next door neighbor knocked at the door as soon as Oscar walked in, to let us know our door seemed like it was cracked open this morning.

Oscar proceeded to shout "STOP IT" and yelling he didnt do it. I guess he was feeling accused. I apologized to our neighbor, who also became nervous and he began apologizing for upsetting Oscar. Oscar didnt seem to understand what he had just done.

Afterwards we went down to do his laundry again. We stumbled into our neighbor David who seemed very familiar with Oscar. Which might explain why Oscar broke all the social rules we have been working on. He cheerfully started saying how the rats bit the cable, how we have roaches in the apartment, the water damage from weeks ago and then proceeded to tell personal information about his staff. Although I detoured the conversation to different topics, he would fall back to the same stories and asking to hang out in peoples apartments.

After a few minutes of different approaches, and our neighbors subtly suggesting theyve had enough "updates," we went back home. I spent the rest of the night actively avoiding neighbors and reminding Oscar we didnt have time to talk.

For dinner Oscar requested something with scallions and cilantro. I made brown rice with those ingredients and a beans stew with mixed vegetables. He declined a side of salad, stating he doesnt eat vegetables. I still laugh at this, since everything I make is vegan, but I let it be. In regards to condiments, he has been using way less parmesan cheese due to our new rule, but is now using a cilantro based marinating sauce. I guess its better, but I will chop up some extra cilantro fpr him so he feels hes getting more food. Ive also been using smaller plates, to create the illusion of bigger
