Throughout my year with C3 I attended different discussions and events that exposed me to differing views and different cultures. I was safe zone trained along with other C3 members and college faculty. This training helped me to identify when someone might need help and how to approach these sometimes very difficult and sensitive situations. While I enjoyed the year that I was with C3, being a member of the group was a very large time commitment that I would not be able to keep on top of my already busy academic schedule. The things I learned from my experiences with C3 could be applied throughout the remainder of my college career. I was able to apply this knowledge during my time as a student leader in the marching band, a member of the executive team for the Chemistry Club, and a laboratory teaching assistant for general chemistry
