I was born in the US because my mother came from a foreign country when she was 5 months pregnant of me, illegally with the struggle of getting a better life for both of us. She wanted her daughter to be someone in life and have an education and accomplish many dreams that she knew that in Mexico I wouldn’t be able to accomplish My mother was single parent but she was blessed because her brothers helped her to raise me, I was raised in a household with Spanish speaking family members. When I was younger I guess it wasn’t a problem to be with people who only talked Spanish, but then I turned 3 and I had to go to school. Going to school was the hardest thing I can remember that happen to me when I was young. My mom registered me in a catholic school to go to Pre-k, it dint go to well, everyone in the school talked a language that I never heard before and the language was English. Catholic schools don’t have those special programs that help students who are having trouble in school and they provided the students with extra help, so you can imagine how hard it was to understand a teacher and classmates when they talked to me. I will prove many people that it doesn’t matter from what type of family you from, but the education that you get, and I’m glad to say that even though my mother is a single mother she did the impossible to provide me with education, and is continuing to help me with everything I need.
