“You were a mistake.” “I should have left you with your deadbeat father.” “I cant stand to look at you.” “You are worthless to me.” “Get out. Before I knock you through a wall.” Prior to my parents divorce these are some of the things my Mother would say to me daily. Occasionally things would be better she would build me up and say how proud she was of me. This made me feel good, but I was also worried she was only telling me this because she felt bad for me. She actually cared what was going on in my life,because of her I got up the courage to join softball at my school. That became like my family they supported me through anything and everything. I joined the Medical Academy at my school and realized my passion for medicine and helping people. I also joined many clubs and got involved with my school ,I joined Beta club, National Honor society, Science National Honor society , Mu Alpha Theta and French Honor society. Through these clubs I got to meet new people by volunteering around the community with Miracle league helping disabled adults and children play softball to helping out with Special Olympics. I also got into tutoring younger kids at my school and at a local middle school in multiple subjects. Joining these clubs and being able to help people around the community each with different stories proved to myself that I am better off without negative people in my life and I can do whatever I want because I am good
