I am currently a youth church leader, despite my background. I always found the time to go to church. It was my refuge, It was the place where I could talk about everything while I was going through my hardest times. I never really saw christianity as a religion it's more like a lifestyle or relationship.

I didn't always like church. According to me, church was a place I was forced into when I was younger. Not knowing that it was going to be one of the best things that was going to happen to me. When I was younger my parents and I attended “El Ministerio el Shaddai” it is a spanish speaking church with many ethnicities and cultural backgrounds. This was where I grew up, I see my pastors as second parents and they have helped me become a better person.

By the time I was nine years old my pastor and his wife saw that I was more involved, And as soon as I started liking going to church, my pastor noticed that I was interested, so they kept an eye on me. As soon as I turned eleven years old, my pastor started inviting me to youth leader meetings, and even though I didn't understand what was going on at that time, they told me it was okay because they thought I could probably fit the maturity level. When I finally decided to attend one of the youth leader meeting, I couldn't help but notice that I was the youngest person in the whole room. During this time I felt sort of intimidated, and I kept thinking “I’m not in the correct room”, since everyone was older. And as I started attending all the meetings I started to see that I comprehended everything because I noticed I was in their maturity level to be there.
