They are one of the very, very few things that have remained constant throughout all of history. The numbers we use today are the same numbers that people thousands of years ago were using. Music may be how we decorate time, art may be how we decorate space, but numbers are how we decorate both. My parents said that I have always been drawn to numbers since I have been able to count. I have always wanted to fully understand numbers but the harsh reality I faced when I was six years old, was that no matter how hard I tried I would never fully be able to understand them. There are infinite amounts of numbers. In saying that, there are an infinite amount of numbers between one and two. The same could be said for any two numbers on the number line and that has boggled my mind for ages. Numbers are what represent time, success, failure, age, weight, and most everything else. That is the sole reason I am writing about the unspoken language of numbers. Time would be meaningless without something to represent it. Age would be obsolete without time. There wouldn’t be a difference in success or failure because there isn’t anything to set a baseline with. All of these things would still exist but would ultimately be irrelevant. Most sports would have no purpose with-out numbers, for the object to win has to do with getting either the highest of lowest
