Convention of Hell

Distraught. Chaotic. Purgatory. Those are the only words that I can bare to use without delving deeper into the language our world deems as inappropriate. A wonderfully planned weekend that went dreadfully wrong. The Supernatural convention was planned as a fun weekend with friends to meet the actors of our favorite show, but anger and jealousy erupted and the events that occurred were supernatural themselves. My close friend drooling over the guy I liked, his mom writhing at the idea of spending time near me, and later the abandonment of her child all added up to one crazy weekend. In total there were six of us at the convention (To keep drama somewhat contained and private I will be using an alias for each person.)

Jace and I were just starting to take a step into what we hoped would be a strong relationship, but Emma had to ruin it all. On the way to the convention, which was held in Houston, she had a fiasco about the seating arrangements for the drive there. I had planned for her and Brittany to sit in the far back and for Jace and I to sit in the captain’s chairs (My mom had a Tahoe so there were three rows of seats.) “How about you sit in the front, Brittany sits in the back, and Jace and I sit together in the captain’s chairs?” were her infuriating words. I flipped a lid. All Friday morning she had been trying to separate us and my stored anger was growing and it was about to spill over. Emma eventually sucked it up and sat with Brittany, but she would never stay in her seat. My mom had to slam on her brakes to finally make her buckle up. Once what seemed like the most dreadful ride of the century, the bed assignments came up when we checked in. Obviously Jace and his mother were going to share a bed and then Brittany, Emma and I got the king bed. My mother slept on a blow up mattress. Brittany and I had previously decided to have Emma sleep in between us so she couldn’t sneak out of the bed in the middle of the night.Of course she had to complain about that as well. Small complaints like these continued on throughout the three miserable days we all had to spend with
