Last Sunday was the super bowl, and with the many hours filled with fun action and exciting plays comes a few breaks here and there. The super bowl is partially famous due to its exciting television ads that make there debut every year at the super bowl. With their being so many new commercials many of them tend to go viral and some can even be so persuasive that sails for many company´s will sky rocket, and some may drop down, it all depends on your ad. With there being so many ads many people are going to have different opinions on them. Some may like one and others may hate it, but everyone pays close attention to make sure they don´t miss them. One of the popular ads from last night was Amazons ¨Alexa looses her voice¨.

The reason they want to be persuasive is so we will all buy there products, which seems simple enough. What most people do not know though is there is an art behind persuasion. Being persuasive is easy but if there is a certain product you are trying to sell, and you are trying to sell it to perhaps children then you are going to try Ethos persuasion. Ethos is using someone who is qualified, and someone who is know to try and sell a product like a celebrity. If you wanted to sell a water gun your not going to use a wrinkly old man your going to use spongebob. There are also other types of persuasion such as Logos which is using logic, and reason to sell something. Also there is Patho which uses emotions such as happiness, sadness, empathay and more to try to get you to buy something. An example of using Patho would have to be the commercials where a young lady, or man are trying to get you to donate 25 cents a day to animals in need ( then they show sad pictures of animals). Now if someone was trying to decided which of the three the Amazon ¨Alexa looses her voice¨ commercial would be it would have to most likely be the Ethos due to all the use of well known people, and lighthearted
