Studies reveal that many animals such as dogs, cats, mice and monkeys experience physical and mental torture for science practices. Although some people may believe that animal testing is needed for the advancement of medicine, animal testing is cruel, unethical and outdated. In fact, it is just like sexism and racism. All living things deserve the same respect, no matter how big or small they are. It is also wrong as they lack the consent of the animals. The statement that “Animal testing helps find cures for human illness.” This is simply not true. Many examples of animal testing are irrelevant to humans, and do not contribute meaningfully to medical advances at all. Many are taken just for curiosity, not even attempting to hold a promise for curing an illness.
