It’s a fact that starting school so early in the morning is bad for a teenagers health and grades. Since school starts at 8:12 in the morning, some students have to get up at 6 in the morning just to get ready for school and to get on the bus to take them to school. It’s annoying when teachers say you have 24 hours to do your homework when you really don’t, I lose 2 hours by riding the bus, 8 hours from going to school, sometimes 9 if I have detention, I spend about 3-4 hours cleaning around the house, and that’s already over half a day, and if my mom decides that we’re going to eat out, that’s 4 more hours, so that’s about 19 hours used out of the day, and I need sleep, so that leaves me 5 hours of sleep, when you’re supposed to get around 8 hours of sleep a night, so I’m already sleep deprived. Some schools around the US don’t start till 10 in the morning, but the students go to school till 5 in the afternoon, but at least the students are awake when school starts. Some other schools start at around 9:10 AM, so their students get an extra hour of sleep. The aftermath of school starting so early are, teens and children can lead to chronic health problems like high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke.
