Families are struggling to survive at Syria, also trying to make a new home in neighboring countries. The other Syrians are risking their lives traveling their way to Europe. According to the U.N. more than half of all Syrian refugees are under the age of 18. Most of the children or teens have been out of school for months, if not years. Some schools have been able to divide the school into two shifts and make room for more Syrian students. But not all school is simply big enough for all the extra children or teens, nor can many families afford to transport their children or teens to school and pick them up. Schools are trying to make different times for bus routes to try and help transporting the children and teens that have no way of getting to school or home from school. More than 50% of Syrian refugees are children or teens that have lost everything they ever have. The youngest are confused and scared by the experiences, they have lacked the sense of safety and home they need. The older children are forced to grow up way too fast without getting a good education by going to school they are forced to find work and jobs to help take care of their family desperate needs.
