Bridget was sitting at her desk, on the first day of school, thinking about how long it would be until break. Kids all around her were thinking of the same thing as they looked out the window to a bright sunny day. When kids have year around school, they go to school for 45 days then get 3 weeks off. Students without, start school in September and don't get a break until November! SCSD1, a school district in Sheridan county, should change to a year round school calendar.
When kids have year round school calendars they have better knowledge. To begin with, kids that have three months off often forget things.Then when they get back to school, the teacher has to reteach a good amount of stuff that they forget. Which takes time out of the year
