Most people know that lying to a police officer is never a good decision. One group of students did just that in order to show their resource officer just how important he is to them!

Introduction:

Officer Darren Corbin is 38 years old and a highly respected member of his community. He works as a resource office for the local university and enjoys his job. As a part of the university's police force, it is his responsibility to make sure that every student is safe. Over the years, he has had to break up fights and assaults. He has done everything from stop theft to calm down drunk students.

He would not let her walk home with friends or take the bus because he needed to be in control. An argument started in his car, and Jack slapped Dakota. In tears, Dakota did not realize that Officer Corbin had seen the assault. He confronted Jack and arrested him.

For the next few months, Officer Corbin was there for Dakota whenever she needed him. He helped her live a drug-free life and was always ready to make sure that Jack stayed away for good. While Jack was abusive, he was also a coward. Knowing that Corbin was there, he deliberately stayed away from Dakota.

Dakota ended up doing well in school and was getting close to her graduation date. Her success was only made possible by the help of Officer Corbin. When she discovered that his family was in debt and his daughter was ill, she brought together a group of students to make a video about him. The video showed all of the reasons why Officer Corbin was wonderful and should get help for his daughter. She set up a crowdfunding campaign on Facebook and began to secretly raise money for his daughter.
