I believe I should be considered to be an applicant for the pharmacy technician class because I completed the prerequisites, maintained good grades in all of my classes, and try my best in everything that I do. Pharmacy tech would enable me to learn about the pharmaceutical industry in a way I never have before, it would allow me to gain experience in professional record keeping and real life experience in a pharmacy setting.
The pharmacy technician class at Belton high school interests me because I'd like to be a pharmacy technician while going to school to be an anesthesiologist. Organization is a good skill for a pharmacy technician to possess due to be fact that medicine counts must be precise and filled by correct times. I'm good at working in groups because I'm good at compromising for the better of the group, and I'm good at preventing conflict among group members. I believe that in order for a group to work well, everyone must do their fair share of the work and provide input when needed. I follow directions given by adults and those who have better knowledge on a subject than myself, because I trust that they wouldn't steer me wrong. I believe this is an important characteristic because being able to follow orders is basically what the job entails as a pharmacy technician. Pharmacy technicians need to follow orders because prescriptions must be filled precisely. I hold myself responsible to the mistakes I make because that's the only way a person can learn from them and overall prevent other mistakes from occurring. I believe it's important to own up to mistakes, especially in the medical industry, because it could mean be life to death for the patient, if one waits too long to own up to their mistake and correct
