Photography Careers Essay Ithalia Jones

In the field of photography there are varying amounts of options for what type of photography you’d like to do. The salaries however can range from having a very low income to a very high income. There are many colleges or universities for the field of photography, but you should know which one to choose because some colleges/universities will not teach very well while they take a lot of your money placing you deep in debt.
Firstly, an example for a specific field in photography is being a sports photographer. Sports photographers generally just take photos of sporting events while trying to avoid the risk of getting …show more content…
Now what an event photographer does is somewhat similar to a wedding photographer, except there are more places that event photographers go to. Event photographers go to special events to get pictures of highlighted moments in events such as birthday parties or baby showers. Next job opportunity is an architecture photographer. An architecture photographer is a photographer who focuses on built structures. The average salary for an architecture photographer is about $15,000 to $34,000 a year.

Another cool job opportunity is becoming an astrophotographer. An astrophotographer takes photos of objects in outer space (ex: stars, planets, meteors,etc..). The average salary is about $65,000 to $153,000 a year.

And the last option I give to you is a macro photographer. Now what a macro photographer does is they take photos of objects extremely close up. THe average salary range is about $35,980 to $52,980.

There are some very high paying fields of photography too, so having knowledge of all the higher paying jobs is a good idea. Even as a part time job or a full time job, photography is a very fun thing to take on, although it may be quite challenging from time to time.
