CLASS MEETING SITE(S): Alumni Arena commons area directly in front of the Bull Pen.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This class is designed to provide students with a background on the relationships between physical activity, physical fitness and various health-related outcomes. Through the course, students will gain knowledge and skills needed to develop lifelong patterns of physical activity and wellness. Students will create a personalized workout program and track their levels of physical of activity.

LAB FEE: There will be a $15 lab fee for ATH 116.
Course Fee: course fees associated with ATH courses permit Recreation Services to continue to provide certified instructors to instruct ATH courses. The course fee form will be distributed by the instructor. It is the student’s responsibility to complete the course fee form, submit form with payment to the Recreation Office, 130 Alumni Arena ONLY during the first 2 weeks of the course. Late course fees will result in a FIN indicators (hold) applied to the student’s account.
MAJOR TOPICS AND ACTIVITIES: participation, instruction, and self-evaluation
CLASSROOM ETIQUETTE: Students are expected to participate fully in all class exercises, activities and lectures. Disrespectful interruptions (talking, sitting down, and stopping in the middle of a traveling combination, disrupting the pace of the class or leaving class) are unacceptable.
