The Picture Day Race. Prologue Talia Campbell and Coco Martinez are two completely different people. Before Talia truly met her best friend, she thought Coco was a self-titled brat. When Talia would go camping in the woods, Coco would be sitting around in her house wearing fancy dresses and sipping tea with her pinky out. And because of that, Talia absolutely envied everything Coco had. And Coco, well, she wished her life was just like Talia’s.

Here’s a little backstory: Talia Campbell was born in a house where family is EVERYTHING. She has 3 older sisters and 2 older brothers, 24 aunts & uncles, and 52 cousins. Although she lived in a small house where everything was …show more content…
Talia seems a bit hesitant, even though she is always the ‘Daredevil’ of us two. To be honest, it’s a bit weird seeing her unsure of something. “I’m so EXCITED!” I squeal. There’s nothing better than some healthy competition for something. “Even if we were to do this, how are we going to start?” Talia wonders. Obviously, I know that she’s trying to get out of it, so I naturally have an answer to all of her questions. “Well, we could start by shopping at the thrift store,” Talia shudders. “Come on, it’s not that bad!” Talia doesn’t know the true beauty of thrift shopping, but I don’t care. “Ok, but what would we wear? And please don’t tell me we’re gonna wear what I think we’re gonna wear.” Talia hesitates. The “TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE ONESIES! !” I screamed. I mean, who doesn’t love a good onesie? “Coco, you have GOT to be kidding me! We can’t go to school like that!” Talia says. “Isn’t that out of the dress code anyway?” “Nope. And, I already bought it!” I say. I expected her to have a better response than just having her mouth wide open. She doesn’t say anything for a good minute. “Tals, you good?” I say, a little worried. She always has something to say. “I gotta admit, when you said TMNT onesies, I didn’t think it would be bought!” Talia admits. She probably thinks that’s all we are doing. “Well obviously it’d already been bought. Anyway, I also bought makeup, hairspray, and rollers. You know, for the DRAMATIC EFFECT.” I say. Talia really seems like she wants to back out now. “Well, you bought everything, so we might as well use it.” Talia says, sounding a little defeated. “I just wish we went shopping together, that’s all.” I kinda feel bad knowing that I didn't take her.
