Some would argue that the gym has the tendency to overreact to people who are wanting to actually lift, for being a gym that takes pride in their saying, “Judgment Free Zone”, it doesn’t seem accurate. There are actually accounts of them actually kicking people out for looking too muscular or grunting too loud. This has been determental to them as stories like has been featured on the news and Planet Fitness is losing members because of it. The main reason for this is that Planet Fitness offers a vast amount of features for such a low price. They offer two types of memberships, the “No Commitment” for 10 dollars, it includes a T-Shirt, access to home club, and unlimited training. The other membership is the Black card which is $20 dollars per month. This includes the same as the other, but also has unlimited tanning, massage chairs, special deals on food or drinks. The amount of services they include with each membership is astounding for the price, and that is exactly why people are willing to look past their flaws and continue to go. Another thing that sets Planet Fitness apart from Anytime Fitness is the way the gym actually works. As stated before Planet Fitness is a gym for ordinary people while anytime is the kind of gym where everyone is accepted big or small. Some would argue that Anytime Fitness is more geared towards bodybuilders while others would agree that Planet Fitness is more suitable for someone who is more interested in losing weight over gaining muscle. Anytime Fitness and Planet Fitness differ on many levels but the idea of staying open 24/7, apart from a couple of days with Planet Fitness, stays the same between them. The overall cleanliest is said to be great for both businesses as well. All this being said, while Planet Fitness has more facilities and members than Anytime Fitness, Anytime Fitness seems to have more happy customers while also not having the reputation of kicking people out like Planet Fitness. The choice between the two comes down solely to preference, if someone would rather want more features for cheaper cost but sacrifice the ability to fully express their self or to get into the best possible shape of their life, then they should go with Planet Fitness. On the other hand, if someone wants to unlock their full potential with unlimited amount of resources and friendly employees who won’t kick them out but also be willing to pay a little extra per month, then they should go with Anytime
