For taxpayers who oppose the funding, it is going to become more expensive and is unnecessary and to pay for something that contradicts their beliefs can violate their morality (Mendoza). Many resent Planned Parenthood due to their most controversial provided service, abortion. Several taxpayers within the United States view the practice as demeaning to human life, causing them to not want their money to support and the organization that provides it. Through a religious perspective, Planned Parenthood and its services discontinues the life god has given and is seen as a sin to murder (Trudell). However, the United States law, known as the Hyde Amendment, prohibits Planned Parenthood to use any money received from the federal funding for “abortion related services, but to provide care to the poor” (Lewis).
