Postpartum care often falls short due to various factors, including insufficient provider education and follow-up, societal stigma surrounding motherhood, and numerous socioeconomic obstacles. Postpartum depression (PPD) is specifically problematic due to its profound impact on maternal mental health, hindering the mother's ability to bond with her newborn, disrupting family dynamics, and increasing the risk of self-harm or harm to the infant (Manso-Cordoba et al., 2020). Therefore, a DNP project concentrating on improving postpartum care, particularly in addressing PPD, has been formulated.
