Athletes get paid millions of more money than people who save our lives.
For example, Lebron dubbed “the king” makes 30 million, while the highest paid doctor makes 421 thousand. To begin, nurses who take care of the sick will not make as much money as pro athletes. Most nurses work twelve hour shifts. They go in early in the morning around six and don’t get out until six in the evening. Working as a nurse can be very stressful. If you don’t do anything right the first time, then you’re gonna get in trouble. Secondly, Firefighters who put their lives in danger for our safety don't get near as much as pro athletes either. However, athletes should get paid lots of money. So, that when they retire their sport they can have something to fall back on. Football players, for example need quite a bit of money because after they retire they will experience a lifetime of pain, and the bills they receive will be ridiculous. Therefore, athletes should be able to make money but not more than doctors. Athletes do spend lots of time on sports, but doctors spend lots of time studying and going to school.
In the end, athletes shouldn't get paid more than doctors or firefighters. They save lives and don't make that much, not even close. I don't think it's fair that athletes get appreciated more than doctors or firefighters do. I hope in the near future other types of professions will get paid more money than pro
