NFl rosters can obtain up to 53 people, MLB rosters can have up to 40 men. If you break this down NFL has really 22 players getting substantial time of the field. That leaves you with 31 other players barely getting hardly playing at all, they just have to stand on the sideline once a week and they have millions of dollars for standing on the sideline. If one of the starters get hurt that will be the only way that they are going to get in. Where as in the MLB it is even more insane, you have 9 players out there every game and you have 34 players sitting on the bench making hundreds and thousands of dollars just sitting there on the bench. In the MLB you can make it or can be draft eligible when you are 18. They give the most talented high school kids multi millions to come play right out of high school. And they most frequent question asked is “What are these teenagers going to do with all this money?’ Well, most of them are told to save it for later when you really do need it, but most of them spend it on useless stuff just to flaunt what they have.
