Many people have a feeling that if you lower the voting age to 16 it would harm the percent of voter turn out as a whole. That wouldnt be the case if you made the youth of the nation more informed. Most of the 16-18 year olds are only told that they are kids and that their opinion doesnt matter. Otherwise effecting the way these teens feel the need to do something like vote for future leaders.

In 2012 alone only 28% of teens eligible to vote showed interest in doing just that. If the politicians and other people eager to get these kids to vote showed more interest in these young adults opinions on other subjects; it would increase their will to vote on matters accordingly.
