I want to be a debate executive because of my pure love for this sport. I’ve grown to love debating over the two years I’ve done it. I love meeting new people at debate tournaments, building strong friendships, and giving free cookies. I enjoy running International Relations in a sports motion, running principled arguments wherever I can, and seeing my team pop up on the break slides. I want to share my passion and enjoy this hobby with them.
Additionally, I want to do several initiatives in the Debate Club. I want to organize more debate tournaments, including an in-house one where we can practice together and bond more closely. I want to set anarcho-communist motions for the Ridge finals, continuing Allenna's legacy. I want to teach new members and foster strong debaters. Throughout the next year, I want to start projects in the debate club to create an interesting and fun place for future debaters.

Over the summer I learned how to judge, decide clashes and calls. I attended several debate tournaments, learning more and more. I spread my wings into several different debate formats like CNDF, WSDC and Australs. All of this paid off when I broke at a few debate tournaments in the summer and fall, followed by more victories throughout the school year, eventually becoming a champion of a few. I did everything I could to improve, and I am now proud of my current standing. I went from an unconfident and shy debater to a successful, confident and strong
