Qlt1 Task 4

I have completed Tasks 1, 3 and 4. Task 1 has been modified to only track how long students wait to receive their food at Chick-fil-A, rather than every restaurant on campus. In Task 3 I looked at Broward College who has implemented a system to help students reduce the time waiting in line and asked various questions to determine its effectiveness. In Task 4 I observed published articles and studies to resolve whether a website or mobile app should be used to show the information about wait times to the user. After conducting all of these tasks I will use the information to begin writing the Recommendation Report. I have completed some of the tasks out of order so I have updated the schedule to illustrate the changes. After shortening Task 1, the study is on track to be completed on time.

Rather than determining the wait time for every restaurant at every hour throughout the week. I have reduced it to only observing how long students have to wait on their food at Chick-Fil-A; it would be too difficult to gather all the information for each restaurant within the time frame. After restricting this task to only Chick-Fil-A I was able to do a more detailed observation upon completion. Along with the how long it took to order and receive food I also recorded how many people decided to leave the lines rather than waiting.

Task 2. Conduct a survey asking students how much time they would need to grab food and make it to their class on time
I have not completed this task yet. I plan on creating a survey asking students how much time they have between classes and how much time would they need to get food in-between classes. I will ask these questions to students who are in line at a restaurant and also students I see walking to class who are willing to answer the questions.

Task 3. Evaluate how the knowledge of restaurant wait times determine a person’s decision to eat and whether it helps them schedule out their time
