These are qualitative and quantitative, the selection of which is made by considering the topic, research objectives and questions. Quantitative is the research method in which the studies focus on gathering numerical or statistical data for the purpose of evaluating the research aim and objectives (Khan, 2011). However, for this purpose, the researcher adopts a statistical test that is most relevant for the study. While on the other hand, the qualitative research method involves gathering textual information or content related to the research study. It does not involve statistical approaches or numerical information to evaluate the research purpose instead it considers the perspective of different scholars or researchers regarding the matter. The research method that is used in this study is qualitative because it involves evaluating the research context by using various precedent studies that are available on Clinical predictors of outcomes of cerebellar ischaemic stroke (Y.k.singh, …show more content…
It is also known as bottom down approach because it starts from particular aspect and ends on broader generalisations mostly by creating a new theory. Under this approach, the studies flow from logical patterns in order to provide general information regarding the matter. The main purpose of this research approach is to collect information, which is analysed depending on the research objectives. Inductive approach is used with qualitative studies because it involves focusing on textual information. In this considered research, inductive approach is used because it involves analysing the research aim and objectives depending on the information collected from different studies (Blessing & Chakrabarti,
