Now think about all the tax money the government gets from these different racing networks. Those billion dollar industries aren't including the fuel companies and parts businesses either. The parts it takes to convert a car for race fuel and the fuel the racers buy is definitely a multi million dollar industry, maybe even more. If the Environmental Protection Agency was to ban race fuel or racing events, the economy would take a big hit. So many people would jobs and businesses would be shut down. Every weekend there's a race track open somewhere hosting a major event bringing in boat loads of cash and keeping kids and some adults out of trouble. If racing was banned the crime rate would rise rapidly. The track racers would become street racers which will either get them killed or arrested. If the fuel gets banned someone will know how to make it, and sell it leading them to jail
