Captive red pandas are nocturnal and crepuscular and exhibit a polyhasic acitivity pattern through the night. The pattern of the activity changes in reaction to temperature, feeding and presence of other A. fulgens ( Keller, 1977). But reports that say that these animals are more likely active at dawn, dusk and at night when red panda are in its natural habitat. At summer, the activity levels of the red pandas are relatively high and low in winter. Thus, the sleeping and resting posture of A. fulgens during the summer season that their bodies are stretched and their legs are dangling whereas during winter they are in curled posture.
