All parents want the best for their kids and will do anything to help them succeed. In Outliers: The Story of Success, Malcolm Gladwell discusses when kids are held back they succeed by getting another year to learn. Redshirting is getting held back a year by the parents and then attending kindergarten. Parents do this so their child can learn more in that year and mature. Redshirting has also been proven to help students and get them into college later in life. Redshirting should be allowed so that kids can learn more.
