WALL-E's only friend or companion is a cockroach up until a new robot named Eve was introduced to WALL-E and she can been seen as a symbol of Eve and Christianity. The director Andrew Stanton named the robot Eve to represent Eve from Adam and Eve in the Bible. The robot Eve was created as a companion for WALL-E just as Eve was created as a companion for Adam. The plant has great significance in the film WALL-E this can be noted when WALL-E cuts the fridge door in half to find the seedling and the music changes letting you know the seedling is very special or has great significance. The plant or the ability for plants to grow is the only hope for the humans to return to Earth. The plant represents life being sustainable on Earth. At the present time Earth is uninhabitable, there is too much trash, not enough room and violent dust/sand storms.
Stanton hints that the humans mistreated and abandon Earth instead of staying and fixing the mess they created. This is another Biblical reference because God created Earth as a safe nurturing place for humans and the humans didn't show any appreciation all of Gods hard work.
