In my opinion I personally do not agree with salt being used on roads because it has many negative impacts on the human population, wildlife and the environment. There are many hidden hazards of salt being used on the roads. Vehicles such as cars and trucks can affect greatly by the corrosive substance found in road salt. This can also take a toll on infrastructure with some exposure of salt. Some of the road salt that wind up in lakes are then transferred into our drinking water at home. This substances is also found in the bodies of many different terrestrial organism. From roadways to waterways these this corrosive substance has so many negative impacts on the world.

Road salt can easily damage your vehicles as, the more salt that comes in contact with your car over time, can cause extensive damage to the vehicle. Due to the construction of a vehicle, the underbody of a car is wide open, which means that salt that is exposed to the car can cause rust underneath and as a result can be difficult to detect visually.This or corrosion can harm many parts of the car such as the exhaust and muffler systems, coil springs and the frame of the car.
