Roberto Clemente has been playing base ball sense he was eight years old he is the youngest of seven six boys and one girls. He lived in Barrio San Anton and he could rarely be found inside he was always on the baseball field. They played with a ball of rags and a stick for a bat and empty coffee bean bags as baseball plates. When Roberto grew up and his father wanted him to help out on the sugar cane farm. that there family own. The sugarcane was there only source of money they made $4.00 a week (Thats $30.00 a week with inflation). Roberto would do all the work as quick as possible and then run to the baseball field.
