I do not believe the Officers reactions to the situation was appropriate due to the sole fact the civilian did not impose a serious threat, and the commentary remarks made by the LAPD Officers after the incident. Some of the remarks used by the Officers were unprofessional,racist, and lacking in compassion. Officers make an Oath to protect civilians and deter crime, but the actions displayed by them were against what they have stood for. I have great support for Law Enforcement Officers and believe they are humans and make mistakes.
