She was from a family that had money but faced many challenges in justice and fairness between african american and white people.Cassie proves her courage by standing up for Little Man, she also helped to put the bus to shame, and facing her rival Lillian Jean Simms, and being willing to help. Cassie proves she is sassy, loving, and courageous.
