Aqueduct
An aqueduct is a channel that transfers water from a supply to a exit point, ready to be used. Generally aqueducts are used to supply cities and towns. Aqueducts can also be used for irrigation systems or for hydroelectricity. Pipes, canals, tunnels, and bridges were used as an aqueduct. The word ‘aqueduct’ is from Latin; ‘aqua’ meaning water, and ‘ducere’ meaning to lead.
Hypocaust
A hypocaust is an open space below a floor, which is heated by a furnace that grants a wave of warm air to the room above. This heating system was developed by the Romans which was not only to heat up rooms, but the Romans used it to heat up baths.
