The Greeks built beautiful temples such as the Parthenon for their Gods; as a result the main focus of the building was its exterior aesthetics. This is because they believed that beauty was a resembling feature of the Gods. I think that this religious drive is what helped give them the patience to create and design such remarkable buildings of such fine precision and geometry. In terms of interior design there is none, the temple is there simple as a shelter for the Gods no one else went inside. On the other hand The Romans built their building with the intention of entertainment; their most famous example of this is the Pantheon.
