Feuding Families Cause Two Deaths and a Banishment

On July 25, 1459, the people of fair Verona suffered two deaths and a banishment from Prince Escalus. Tybalt killed Mercutio this resulted in Romeo also killing Tybalt. This instigated another battle from the Capulets and Montagues breaking into war.

Last week there were two murders that included a banishment. Tybalt ran into Mercutio, Benvolio and Romeo. A witness Benvolio said,’’ the murders were so tragic, it may break Verona.’’ The Capulets and Montagues have been feuding for many years, and this murder was just evidence.

Romeo was just trying to stop the fight between Tybalt and Mercutio, but Tybalt’s sword slid under Romeo's arm and, killed Mercutio.
