SNHU Pet Supply is an established company that has had steady growth over the past five years and have locations nationwide. We specialize in pet food, toys, and supplies and are now ready to introduce a new product – Bailey’s Wholesome Bits. This is our first all-natural, additive-free pet food available to both cats and dogs. Our target market includes older individuals with a comfortable income who are interested in a healthy alternative for their pets “because your pet is part of the family.”

Since mailers with coupons are more likely to be kept, our flyer will include a 10% discount coupon for consumers to use on their purchase at our local retail store or online (Johnson, 2017). Controlling where the mailers are sent is simple, and we would be able to send them to surrounding areas as well to draw in more customers. Launching a new social media presence will work well with launching a new product. Many people conduct an information search when they are looking for a new product to meet their need. Because of the vast availability of information online, having a social media presence is important so consumers will find our product when performing their search. Even though our target market is individuals over the age of 45, much of the older generation is now using social media to stay connected with friends and family. Maintaining both a Facebook and Twitter page that includes exclusive coupons will boost sales. Facebook also has a feature that allows consumers to leave reviews, which will be encouraged so we can prove that we are meeting our money-back guarantee. If we do get a negative review, we will be able to publicly respond to it and correct the issue, which will boost morale in our company. Lastly, we will utilize print advertisements. Newspapers are still read frequently by the older generations, and expense of printing an ad in a newspaper is affordable. Also, the Sunday paper is still a great resource for people to obtain coupons and advertisements for local businesses and utilizing this resource will benefit the launch of the new product.
