“Unprotected sex” is the most “valuable commodity in the sex trade.” The money and the “profits” are convincing, but the likelihood of spreading infections and diseases to not only the prostitutes but also to the customers are high. These infections will continue to pass on and will become a chain reaction. Although using condoms or different birth control methods are methods of having safe sex, they are not 100% effective in preventing STI’s and/or pregnancy and the only way to stay 100% safe from those is abstinence (not having sex). Because prostitutes engage with many sexual partners, the more sexual partners an individual has, the more likely he/she will contract an STD and spread it to future partners. Birth control is not effective as it is based on the choices of the customers of the prostitute and once the customer pays the prostitute, the customer has all the control to do whatever he/she wants for satisfaction.
