Are the Salem Witch Trials and the Holocaust similar? The Salem Witch Trials and the Holocaust can be considered similar to one another due to many characteristics. In the Holocaust, Jewish people were killed for simply being Jewish. Hitler controlled a group called the Nazis, who controlled Germany from 1933 to 1945.( “The Holocaust”) This dictator despised Jews and discriminated against them for being greedy, and not fitting into society.
