“Aron Ralston, a mountaineer from Aspen, Colorado, lost for over five days in Blue John Canyon”(Leonard,1). Make sure to bring a friend with you if you go hiking.Bring enough supplies with you. Make sure other people know your location at the time.Hiking can be dangerous if you don't use some safety precautions.

As you go hiking you should make sure you bring a friend with you just so that if you ever have to ask for help or if you have to do something but it requires more than one person. For example, in the passage Miraculous Lost and Found “Aron Ralston. the experienced climber had been trapped by a big boulder” (Leonard,3). He found himself stuck and couldn't escape so his only way out was to amputate his arm, but if he had someone hiking with him they could’ve called for help or if the boulder was small enough they could possibly help him get unstuck,but he was that lucky some other hiker found him and gave him food and water and took him to the hospital. …show more content…
After Aron Ralston amputated his own arm after being trapped, he didn't have a lot of food left while only having “two burritos and taking small sips of his remaining water (about 350ml)” (Leonard,22).
