(2014, August 20). Retrieved September 2, 2014, from http://response.restoration.noaa.gov/oiltypes a) What is the independent variable
The type of water plants used (Bladderworts, Water Lettuce, Hydrilla Plant).
b) How will the independent variable be manipulated and measured?
There is no specific way of measuring the amount of plant being used. *Any suggestions?*
c) List the conditions of the independent variable that will be used.
The plant will be in healthy conduction and in the process of growing.
d) What is the dependent variable?
The amount of oxygen produced by the plants
e) How will the dependent variable be measured?
The dependent variable will be measured using a test tube and a ruler measuring the amount of oxygen produced in mm. We will measure the amount produced every hour for 5 hours.
f) What materials will need to be purchased or ordered? You will be paying for any materials that need to be purchased/ordered. Are you willing/able to pay for the supplies?
The plants that need to be purchased are Bladderworts, Water Lettuce, and Hydrilla Plant. The materials we also need are a funnel, beaker, and test tube which we plan on trying to borrow for the
