A question many ask themselves is why do people commit crimes. There are many reasons as to why they do these things. Whether they are antisocial, lack a good foundation in education, or even have a behavior disorder. People who have committed serious can be studied by nature and nurture the criminality, the heritability of adopted children and the comparison with biological children. Nature is something that must do with genetics endowment. This helps form how a person’s physical appearance is to the certain characteristics. Nature influences all the way back to the 19th century, when many doctors believed that the only reason people would commit a crime was due to genetics. They believed that if their father or mother had a history of crimes, then it would be to their children genetically. An example is that is the father had a history with mental issues then his kids would also have mental issues as well. Throughout history, almost 16 percent of serial killers were adopted. James Munro, 18, was an accomplice to almost 44 murders. When he was about to a year old the Munro family adopted him. He had a good life until he found out that he was adopted. He began to build up anger and decide to let out his anger in his killings. When a child is adopted, the heritability of it committing a crime is higher than those who have their biological parents. Traits between an adoptee and a biological child mainly should do with their upbringing at home.
